We have always enjoyed the way oak shrinks, moves and opens. With the bobbin stools we carefully selected green oak and turned on a lathe to create the concave form. The stools were then sandblasted and stained. As they dried, the oak opened and cracked celebrating the characteristics of the material, its instability and wonderful disobedience.
